Could this German star replace Alexis at Arsenal?
|According to The Telegraph, and Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli, Arsenal have identified World Cup winner and German international, Marco Reus as Alexis Sanchez’s replacement should he leave in the summer.
The winger has been linked with Arsenal for quite some time and was close to a move to the Gunners in 2014 before Alexis’s arrival and last summer too, as the Gunners were looking to strenghten their offensive armada.
Marco Reus’s talent could allow Arsène Wenger to use him through the middle or in a wider role, as he can play from the left or the right wing. However, his injury record combined with Arsenal’s could prove to be a difficult hurdle in negociations between Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund. A deal could be completed for around £50 million, smashing Arsenal’s transfer record, set at £42 million with Ozil’s arrival in 2013.
