Deadline move: Arsenal complete deal for striker
|Arsenal have confirmed that Stephy Mavididi has joined Charlton Athletic on loan for the rest of the season.
Mavididi has been an essential player for Arsenal’s under-21 team last season and under-23 team this year. The powerful striker scored 17 goals in 30 appearances last season and has scored six goals in 11 appearances for the under-23 team so far this season.

At only 18-years-old, it’s a testament to Mavididi’s development and potential that Arsenal have sent him out loan to get a taste of first-team football. Indeed, Charlton boss, Karl Robinson has high hopes for the young striker.
“Stephy is someone that I’ve seen a few times in the U23 Premier League and he has certainly got the key components to succeed in what I call ‘real’ football. He has the power, the game intelligence and this move is one that he has to grab with both hands.”
