Deal Done: Club confirm sale for striker
|
Following rumours linking Chuba Akpom away from the club this month, it has now been confirmed that the striker will join Brighton & Hove Albion on loan for the rest of the season.
Akpom has only managed one appearance for Arsenal this season, a 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup. Following a back injury, however, the youngster has been out until the beginning of this month.

Akpom did also play on loan at Hull City last season and helped the Tigers to promotion with seven goals in 41 appearances. The 21-year-old will begin training with the club on Wednesday morning ahead of their game against Huddersfield on Thursday, much to the delight of Brighton boss Chris Houghton.
“He is a young talent who gained valuable experience with Hull in the Championship last season, will give us really good pace in the forward areas and complement the other strikers at the club.”
“We fought off competition from other clubs to sign Chuba, and we would like to thank Arsenal for the opportunity of working with him for the rest of the season.”
