Arsenal push through another loan deal on Deadline Day

Arsenal’s young defender, Krystian Bielik has joined Birmingham City on loan for the rest of the season.

Bielik joined Arsenal in January 2015 for a reported £2.7 million from Legia Warsaw. Since his arrival from Poland, Bielik has gone to establish himself as a prominent member of the under-21 side and now the newly formed udner-23 side.

Bielik has made two first-team appearances for Arsenal, the most recent of which coming when Arsenal beat Nottingham Forest 4-0 in the EFL Cup. The young Pole is highly regarded by Arsenal, with Arsene Wenger highlighting him as a potential star player for the club in the future.

“He has all the qualities and ingredients to be a top-level centre-back.”

“The one thing he is missing is the experience in this position because he came to us as a central midfielder, but I converted him because I felt he can play the type of football we want to play as a centre-back.”
