Dortmund’s sporting director dismisses Marco Reus rumours
|Borrusia Dortmund’s Sporting Director Michael Zorc has shrugged off the reports linking Marco Reus to Arsenal, saying that they are nothing but “half-baked rumours”, as reported by Bild.
While Arsenal continue to play a dangerous game with Alexis Sanchez’ contract negotiations, recent reports have suggested that the Gunners are ready to replace their main man with Dortmund’s Marco Reus, who renewed his contract not too long ago.
Just as it seemed that there might actually be a bit of truth to the “Reus to Arsenal” rumours, Michael Zorc (Dortmund’s Sporting Director) has come out to end it once and for all in an interview with Bild.
“I will not waste my time with half-baked rumours. I do not know anything about it that Marco would like to leave us.”
The German has only recently returned from an excruciatingly long spell in the physio room to be a key figure in Dortmund’s side again, having scored five goals (and six assists) in just eight appearances.
It certainly doesn’t feel like any amount would be enough to lure him away from the Signal Iduna Park.
