Arsenal plan £40m summer bid for Celtic hotshot

Arsenal are rumoured to still be looking for a new striker, and this time the rumour doesn’t involve Alexandre Lacazette.

According to the Sunday Mirror’s Steve Stammers, the Gunners will go toe-to-toe with both Manchester City and Chelsea in the battle to sign Celtic’s in-form forward, Moussa Dembele.

Dembele will reportedly cost Arsenal £40 million if they are to lure him back to London after spending time with Fulham before moving to Celtic for just £500,000 last summer. 

The 20-year-old is in fine form as of late, netting 12 goals in his 22 appearances for Celtic – goals coming not only in the Scottish Premiership but the Champions League as well. Most recently, Dembele scored a hat-trick in Celtic’s 6-0 against Inverness.

Dembele will no doubt again be on the radar of many clubs during as the summer approaches after gaining a lot of interest during the January transfer window.
