Xhaka racial abuse case dropped by police

Arsenal midfielder, Granit Xhaka has been cleared of racially abusing airline staff at Heathrow airport.

The Swiss international was interviewed by police following an incident at Heathrow Airport last month. Xhaka had been accused of racially abusing an airport worker after he had taken a friend to the airport, but the friend was denied entry onto the plane as he was too late to board.

The incident occurred on January 23, a day after he had received a red card against Burnley. The Arsenal man, however, did inform Arsenal of the incident and had also voluntarily attended a west London police station, where he was interviewed.
