Arsene Wenger rejects £30m a year contract from China

Arsene Wenger has rejected a record £30 million-a-year contract from China according to the Daily Telegraph

An unnamed Chinese club reportedly offered Wenger a £30 million-a-year net salary, twice the salary of the Premier League’s current best-paid manager, Pep Guardiola.

Wenger recently confirmed his desire to continue managing whether that be at Arsenal or a different club. A two-year deal has been offered by the Arsenal board but it is unsure whether will sign the contract come the end of the season. Arsenal’s owner, Stan Kroenke is keen for the Frenchman to sign the extension and has even increased his wage by £2 million to take his annual salary to close to £10 million-a-year.
