Arsenal loan star receives high praise from boss

Arsenal youngster, Stephy Mavididi, who is currently on loan at Charlton, has impressed during his short time with the club, with manager Karl Robinson speaking very highly of the 18-year-old.

In a recent interview with Standard Sport, Robinson praised Mavididi for what he has brought to Charlton since making the temporary move to play at The Valley.

“Stephy’s an interesting one. Since he has come in everyone is talking about him. He was probably the shining light against Rochdale and Oxford.”

Although Mavididi is yet to score for Charlton, he has shown enough skill on the pitch to warrant such praises that will perhaps one day see him play at the top level, while also grabbing further headlines last week for a solo run that almost ended in what could have been goal of the season for Charlton.

“Fundamentally he has the physical aspects to be successful. He’s certainly got a bright future. I can’t speak for Arsene Wenger, all I can say is I’ve worked at that level for a long time and I see components in his game that he should not fall short of playing at the highest level.”
