Arsenal are ready to bid £60 million for French forward, Alexandre Lacazette but will face competition from Liverpool for his signature, according to the Daily Mirror.
Arsene Wenger is resigned to losing Alexis Sanchez this summer, although the Chilean international is still in contract talks with the club. With Sanchez’s apparent departure imminent, Arsenal will look to sign the Lyon striker as his replacement.
The Gunners did try to sign Lacazette last summer but had their £35 million bid rejected by the French club. Lyon have an agreement with Lacazette that if they receive a £60 million bid, then they are willing to let him leave.
Arsenal will face competition from Liverpool, however, as they too are looking for a top marksman, especially as it seems Daniel Sturridge could well leave the club in the summer.
