Alexis Sanchez warned over Arsenal future
|Alexis Sanchez’s future remains in major doubt following a series of rows with Arsene Wenger which resulted in the Chilean being dropped for the against Liverpool at the weekend.
In his press conference ahead of Arsenal’s game against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, Arsene Wenger has warned the Chilean that it is the club who’ll decide his future.
“Alexis Sanchez has 15 months on his contract, whether he is here next season will depend on Arsenal and no-one else.”
Wenger also insisted that rumours of a fall out with the player were completely false and fabricated by the newspapers, although he did admit that he can be slightly over the top at times.
“Yes, [reports of a falling out with Sanchez are] completely false. I understand you have to fill newspapers and I respect that. We have to accept that.”
“Sometimes his behaviour is excessive.”
It is unsure whether Wenger will start Sanchez tomorrow against Bayern and although remains stubborn that the club will not sell their star man, it has not ceased reports that Atletico Madrid, Juventus and PSG are all preparing bids.
