Oxlade-Chamberlain set for summer exit

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has decided to leave the Gunners this summer, citing a lack of progress and contract talks at the club.

According to multiple reports, the 23-year-old has become disillusioned with the lack of support the Arsenal hierarchy have shown him, and with 15 months left on his current contract, has decided to look for pastures new this summer.

The club may see this as a big blow given the English midfielder’s recent form since switching to a more central role. Despite Arsenal’s poor recent form, Oxlade-Chamberlain has looked like realising his abundance of talent of late, and this news may indicate a wider problem at the Emirates.

With two goals and four assists in the Premier League this season, represents his biggest output yet and there are likely to be a number of potential suitors, with Liverpool and Manchester City heavily linked in recent months.
