Arsenal’s star man in “good condition” for international duty
|Alexis Sanchez arrived in Santiago yesterday for Chile’s World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Argentina and according to Chilean news outlet, El Grafico, he could be fit enough to play the international games.
Sanchez was substituted in the second-half of Arsenal’s game at the weekend. The Chilean picked up an apparent ankle injury after a reckless challenge from James McClean and was considered a doubt for national duty. Sanchez is crucial not only to Arsenal but also his national side, as they look to reach the 2018 World Cup.
Although Arsene Wenger admitted he should’ve taken Sanchez off earlier in the game, the Chile medical staff believe he could well feature in both their games.
