Arsenal will be demanding a fee in the region of £50m for Alexis Sanchez, shall the Chilean decide to move on, The Standard reports.
Alexis only has a year left on his current contract and has so far failed to negotiate terms with the Gunners, the 28-year-old’s demands reportedly being a major problem.
Sanchez, who has so far netted 23 times as well as assisting 12 goals, wants his current wage doubled (£130,000-a-week), which does seem a fair pay rise for someone of his quality.
The contract issues have meant that Alexis Sanchez’s relations with his teammates and manager have taken a battering too, a recent training ground bust-up reflecting just that.
If Arsenal fail to tie him down, they are looking for a fee around £50 million with clubs like Bayern Munich, Juventus, Chelsea and Manchester United all interested.
