Arsenal target Udinese midfielder

Arsenal are tracking Udinese’s highly-rated Czech Republic international, Jakub Jankto, according to the Mirror.

Francis Coquelin has not replicated the form he showed last year and has become somewhat of a liability for the Gunners. The combination of him and Granit Xhaka in unbalanced, ineffective and not going to benefit Arsenal in the long-term. With that in mind, Arsenal have identified Jankto as the man to provide Xhaka with more protection in midfield.

The midfielder himself has admitted that he is keen to leave Serie A, telling Tuttomercatoweb that he is eager to move.

“I want to play abroad, to try some new experience. I’m curious, I want to know other things. I certainly do not see myself in Italy too long, certainly not up to 25 years.”
