Liverpool are lining up a move for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, as per reports from The Telegraph.
The 23-year-old is currently valued at £35m by Arsenal, but that’s not a problem for Liverpool, who are confident of negotiating terms with the England international and hopefully bringing that price down.
Chamberlain only has a year left on his current Arsenal contract, with the contract talks not even in sight at the moment because of Arsene Wenger, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez’ situations.
The FIFA World Cup fast approaching and his England chances still in doubt, he may well choose to leave. The former Southampton player has only made 12 starts this season while he has come off the bench 13 times, further reflecting his lack of playing time and a lack of belief. Will Arsenal offer him a new contract?
