“Future Arsenal captain in the making” – Arsenal fans laud defender after superb performance

Utter jubilation was the overriding emotion for the fans and players yesterday as Arsenal booked their place in the FA Cup final. 

Although not at their free-flowing best, the Gunners put in arguably their best performance of the season on Sunday afternoon and a player central to that performance, was the ever-impressive Rob Holding. 

The 21-year-old defender has largely been on the bench for most of this season but with Mustafi’s injury, the youngster was thrown into the fire on Monday and again on Sunday. Faced with shackling the likes of De Bruyne and Aguero, Holding put in a performance well beyond his years.

Such was his performance that the Arsenal fans couldn’t help point the comparison between him and John Stones.
