“I wouldn’t touch him with a bargepole” – Pundit slates Sanchez’s recent form

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil’s contract situations have long been a black cloud hanging over the Emirates this season. Neither player has committed their future to the club and it now seems that Alexis Sanchez will probably leave this summer.  

Sanchez has cut a frustrated figure over the last few months as Arsenal have struggled to keep up with their top four rivals and have once again see their Premier League title hunt disintegrate. The Chilean recently admitted that he had become frustrated by the lack of silverware since he joined, admit rumours that he will join Bayern Munich this summer.

When BBC pundits, Martin Keown and Phil Neville were asked which of the two players they’d keep, both answered Alexis Sanchez.

Phil Neville did admit, however, that if he’d only watched him over the last few season, “he wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole”.
