Koscielny ruled out of FA Cup final

After receiving a red card against Everton Sunday, it has been confirmed that Laurent Koscielny will serve a three-match ban and therefore, miss the FA Cup final this weekend.

The defender was sent off for ‘serious foul play’, after a poor challenge on Enner Valencia, although Arsenal still went on to win the game 3-1.

Arsenal had appealed the decision via a claim of wrongful dismissal, but after an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing on Tuesday, the ban was upheld.

Koscielny will now face a three-match suspension will mean that he will also miss Arsenal’s first two games of the 2017-18 League campaign.
