Real Madrid to make mammoth third bid for Kylian Mbappé

According to French news outlet, RMC Sport, Real Madrid are ready to increase their world-record fee to €135 million (£117 million) in order to sign Kylian Mbappé.

Madrid had already bid €120 million (£104 million) for the Frenchman, which was rejected by Monaco. Although on the face of it, the amount would seem to rule Arsenal out of the race to sign him, Monaco are in no rush to sell him. Furthermore, the French club are willing to offer him an extension to stay at the club, which according to reports, Mbappé is open to signing.

In terms of Arsenal, the London club can offer Mbappé a club which might be more suited to develop his game, something that may not be true at Madrid. Moreover, Arsenal may well increase their initial £87 million bid, to keep them in contention.
