According to Sam Inkersole of football.london, West Ham have now joined the race to sign Arsenal frontman, Olivier Giroud.
Although the Frenchman recently signed a new contract with Arsenal, he also admitted that he would need to play a more active role for the club next season. Furthermore, speculation has rinsed over the last few days that Arsenal could well use Giroud in a proposed deal for Alexandre Lacazette.
The Hammers’ move for Henry Onyekuru has been held up due to work permit issues while their move for Kelechi Iheanacho has stalled also. With that in mind, the Hammers’ have now set their sights on Giroud, who could well cost £20-30 million.
