Arsenal sign 16-year-old forward following Lacazette deal
|Irish youngster, Jordan McEneff has signed a two-year-deal with Arsenal ahead of the upcoming season.
Alexandre Lacazette is not the only player to have joined the Gunners this month, as the sixteen-year-old talented attacker has been signed on scholarship terms by the North London outfit.
McEneff was spotted by Arsenal’s head of recruitment, Steve Morrow, the youngster will now make the step from Arsenal’s Hale End Academy as one of the 12 players to be given a scholarship by the club.

Following the news, he spoke of his desire to break into the Arsenal first team in the future and his excitement at being one of the very few Irishmen to have come through the club.
“I’m playing for the next contract and hopefully I can get a bigger and better one and then move on through the ranks – up to the U23s and then on to the first team some day. It’s exciting. Especially when people back home are so supportive.”
