Juventus to complete £13m deal for Szczesny this week

Arsenal goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny will join Juventus this according to Goal.

The Polish international was left out of Arsenal’s pre-season squad in order to complete his move to the Serie A champions. Juve have already reached an agreement with goalkeeper over a five-year deal worth €4 million per season but are yet to agree with Arsenal.

Although the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee, it is thought that Arsenal’s £13 million valuation is unlikely to be a problem for Juve. Szczesny is keen to remain in Serie A following two seasons on loan at Roma. The Polish ‘keeper is seen as the long-term successor Buffon, who is expected to retire following next year’s World Cup.

Szczesny’s move will probably see Emiliano Martinez become Arsenal’s number two goalkeeper, with David Ospina likely to leave too this summer.
