Wenger confirms interest in Ligue 1 star as Arsenal gear up for transfer tussle

Arsenal have been looking to sign young Monaco winger Thomas Lemar for quite some time now and have had bids of £30 million and £40 million rejected by the Ligue 1 club.

Wenger admitted that they have been following Lemar at a press conference in Australia where they are about to start pre-season.

The Mirror report that Arsenal are ready to splash out more than 45 million pounds for the talented midfielder. Reports suggest that Monaco value him at 53 million pounds which would make Wenger break his transfer record twice in the same summer.
