Following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, the future of Olivier Giroud has come under immense scrutiny, as it would appear that the latter’s game time will surely diminish.
Previously, Giroud has stated that he will not be prepared to sit on the bench as he did for large parts last season. West Ham had been linked with a move for Giroud but over the last week rumours have emerged of Everton preparing a £20 million bid.
With the £75 million sale of Lukaku to Man U, Everton have some serious financial muscle which could tempt the Frenchman away from Arsenal.
Giroud, however, has reaffirmed his desire to stay at the club and welcome the competition for the starting spot.
