Media Gallery: Arsenal train ahead of clash against Chelsea

Arsenal trained yesterday evening ahead of their clash with Chelsea, in what is the final game of the Gunners’ pre-season tour of Asia.

Although it the game will be a friendly between the two clubs, due to the ongoing rivalry of the two London giants, there will still be some bite to the game, as Arsene Wenger concluded, as it’s Chelsea and Arsenal, it’s not “really a friendly”.

For many of the youngsters, this will be their final chance to impress the Arsenal boss, before the season begins in earnest. Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson, Krystian Bielik and Jo Willock have all impressed on the tour and will hope to play against Chelsea, especially Eddie Nketiah who was released by Chelsea in 2015.

Th youngster’s chances of playing may well be quite high due to a bug that seems to be spreading through the Arsenal camp at the minute. As confirmed by Wenger, Theo Walcott may well miss out tomorrow, while Koscielny is still recovering from back injury.

With Arsenal set to play against Chelsea in the Community Shield next week, this game could well serve as an ideal warm up for not only next week but also the season ahead.
