Alexis Sanchez ready to hand in transfer request
|Alexis Sanchez will consider handing in a transfer request to Arsenal as the Chilean looks to push through his move to Manchester City.
The Telegraph is reporting that the Sanchez has set his heart on moving away this summer and will try to force Arsenal’s hand. Sanchez is keen to join Pep Guardiola as he continues to stall on signing a new deal with the Gunners, although Arsene Wenger is convinced that Arsenal’s star man will stay with the club.
Earlier this year, it was thought that Bayern Munich were leading the race to sign Alexis Sanchez, the move, however, failed to materialise as Bayern were put off not only by Arsenal’s asking price but also Sanchez’s £400,000-a-week wage demands.
Arsenal are willing to agree a deal which would see Sanchez extend his contract by one year while raising his salary to £300,000-a-week. The deal would effectively be a compromise between the two parties, who would then review the situation next summer.
Even if Sanchez decided to hand in a transfer request to exit the Emirates this reason, Arsenal still has the right to accept his request or not to because the Chilean knows more than all of us do that he’s under contract with the Gunners for at least a year. For now Sanchez does not hold the 4 aces…Arsenal does. Arsenal would only do turns out to be the best for the club, not just for financial gains, but for the reputation of the club particularly now that there is a desperation at the Emirates for the north London greatest to return to CL football next season.
