Arsenal set £13.4m valuation on Perez as Newcastle prepare bid
|Arsenal have set a £13.4 million price tag on wantaway forward, Lucas Perez, according to the Evening Standard.
Lucas Perez is reportedly unsettled at Arsenal and is desperate to go after the allegedly “ugly gesture” of stripping him of the number nine shirt. Newcastle United and Deportivo La Coruna are reportedly interested in the 28-year-old who is pushing for more first-team football. With the signing of Alexandre Lacazette and possibly Thomas Lemar, chances of that happening are bleak.
Arsenal received an offer of £9 million pounds from Deportivo last week but are holding out for a lot more, while Newcastle are interested in a move for Perez, although the Magpies would prepare a loan move. Perez’ agent, Rorigo Fernandez Lovelle has publicly told that he expects Perez to leave the Emirates in this summer, as the Spaniard looks to break into Spain’s World Cup squad.
Following his £17 million move from Deportivo last summer, Perez only made 21 appearances last season, most of which were from the bench, thus a move away seems likely.
