Celtic and Leeds battle it out for Arsenal youngster
|Both Celtic and Leeds are battling it to sign Chuba Akpom on a permanent transfer according to the Daily Mirror.
Akpom is ready to leave Arsenal in search of consistent first-team football, following loan spells at Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest, Hull City and most recently Brighton & Hove Albion.
Akpom was close to breaking into the Arsenal first-team before he was sent on loan to Hull in what was a move that hindered his development.
Leeds are keen on the England under-21 international – who is reportedly close to declaring for Nigeria – as Chris Wood looks set to join Burnley. While at Celtic, Brendan Rodgers wants to bring in more quality up front to rival Mousa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths.
