Arsenal agree new deal with long-term shirt sponsor Emirates

According to a report published by Fantasy Sports, Arsenal have agreed upon a new deal with long-term shirt sponsor Emirates, a 5-year contract extension which commences in 2019 that will see the Gunners sport the airline firm’s distinct motif on their jerseys until 2024.

A proud partner of the club since 2006, Emirates are the Premier League’s longest standing kit sponsor and it’s said that the latest proposed deal could be worth more than £40m per season, meaning that the north-Londoners could pocket over £200m during the extra half-decade pledged by the UAE-based company.

Speaking to the media, Arsenal’s chief executive Ivan Gazidis conveyed the importance of solidarity and ‘commitment’ between the club and it’s loyal, enduring benefactor:

“Our shirt partnership is the longest running in the Premier League and one of the longest relationships in world sport,” he said.

“This mutual commitment is testimony to the strength and depth of our unique relationship.”

Once the renewal takes effect, the alleged £40m a term they’ll gain from Emirates will see Arsenal’s shirt deal become the second highest earner in England’s top-flight.

Only Manchester United will possess a deal greater than Arsenal’s, as the ‘Red Devils’ current sponsor Chevrolet feeds Jose Mourinho’s club with a staggering £47m each season.
