Arsenal target says his ‘dream’ is to play elsewhere

A vibrant, vigorous offensive threat, FC Girondins de Bordeaux’s Malcolm has been linked with a potential summer move to either Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur or FC Bayern Munich, and though the winger’s feet are very much rooted to the turf at the Ligue 1 outfit, the flourishing Brazilian has claimed that it is a ‘dream’ of his to play elsewhere in the future.

The Gunners were supposedly eyeing a mid-season swoop for the 21-year-old’s services, although as nothing evidently materialised in January, it’s believed that the north-Londoners – and indeed their rivalling counterparts – will return once the current season comes to a close.

Malcolm, however, refused to take stock of the noises arising from the press spectrum, however social media is a predominant factor of his life, and though he’s seemingly comfortable at Les Girondins, the inexhaustible flanker couldn’t ignore the animated excitement emanating from fans across the globe.

As per a report published by Sports Witness, Malcolm revealed: “On Instagram, people put me in Arsenal, Tottenham or Bayern shirts. Even if it’s my dream, it makes me laugh. I play for Bordeaux. At the moment, that’s all I think about.”

Malcolm has taken the current campaign by storm and has authoritatively stamped his mark upon Gus Poyet’s starting XI. A productive, purposeful attacker, the Seleção U23 international has netted 8 goals and has supplied his teammates with 7 assists, a worthy measure of the influence within his aspiring game.

It’s believed that Bordeaux will demand a minimum of €50m if they’re to part ways with Malcolm, and as Arsenal are more than capable of matching the relatively lofty figure, it may not be long until he’s unveiled to Arsenal supporters at the Emirates in the club’s famous, iconic jersey.
