Arsenal hot on 15-year-old FC Barcelona prodigy’s heels

On April 12th, just 3 days time, FC Barcelona’s 15-year-old prodigy Robert Navarro will turn 16-years-old and the opportunity to depart ‘La Masia’ will befall the fledgling Spanish starlet, and if he does indeed opt to leave the Catalan giants for pastures new, the Daily Mail understands that Arsenal would supposedly jump at the chance to snap-up his highly-regarded qualities on the ball.

It’s believed that Premier League counterparts Manchester City were formally the front-runners in the proposed race for his developing services, although it’s now thought that the Citizens have since simmered their pursuit of the teenage midfielder.

Subsequently, the door is now effectively wide open for the Gunners to lodge their interest and it’s said that the north-Londoners, who had poached the likes of Francesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin from the ‘Blaugrana’ in the past, would want to add Navarro to the list of acquisitions from La Liga outfit.

Being a member of Barca’s personnel frequently offers the prospect of glittering success and personal accolades, but the allure of walking out in front of a packed Camp Nou as a home player isn’t always tempting enough.

Adama Traore, Alex Grimaldo and Gerard Gumbau all graduated from the club’s coveted youth ranks but ultimately decided upon a fresh start away from their formative stomping ground to make their names known, so perhaps Navarro, a youngster who has accumulated endless admirers and suitors, will elect to walk the same path.

However, it’s alleged that Barcelona will table a substantial contractual offer to ensure that his signature stays put, a possibility which will ultimately render Arsenal’s hunt surplus, if Navarro shakes hands on a professional deal under Ernesto Valverde, that is.
