Arsenal step up interest in £50m-rated Olympique Lyonnais winger

As per a report published by The Sun, it’s believed that Arsenal have stepped up their interest in £50m-rated Olympique Lyonnais winger Nabil Fekir, with senior figureheads in the north-Londoners’ boardroom said to be keen on landing his potent services in the summer transfer window.

Fekir, 24, has been influential for the Ligue 1 outfit throughout the 2017-18 campaign and has netted 22 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions, a ruthlessly clinical record in front of the target, especially for a flanker by trade.

A dispatcher of opportunities, the nimble attacker has also provided his teammates with 7 assists across all domestic and European platforms, further proof of his relentless offensive tendencies with the ball under his spell.

Adaptability is also an alluring feature of Fekir’s dexterity, as the France international is readily capable of deputising behind the predominant striker, further indication of his innate ability to trouble and punish opposing rearguards.

With 2 international goals to his name in 10 caps for France, it’s thought that Fekir will travel to Russia for the 2018 World Cup with Didier Deschamps’ ‘Les Bleus’, and an accomplished tournament with the planet’s finest scouts and managers in attendance will only amplify his chances of being snagged by a European superpower.

Coincidentally, earlier this year Fekir’s adviser revealed that his client was pining for a switch to one of the continent’s top 10 outfits, and if the Gunners are indeed seeded in the glittering shortlist, they’ll stand in good stead if they opt to lodge a sufficient bid for his highly-admired signature.
