Petr Cech defines Arsenal’s main ‘priorities’ for remainder of the season
|Petr Cech and his Arsenal teammates are aiming to clinch Champions League football during the remainder of the current season, a daring aspiration which is undoubtedly a main ‘priority’.
The veteran stopper is eager to gift Unai Emery a maiden campaign in the Premier League that’s laden with palpable success, and achieving a top four finish would certainly compliment the Ladbrokes promo code 2019 and the Spaniard’s revolution at Arsenal.
Having tasted glory at both Arsenal and his former employers Chelsea, the 36-year-old is no stranger to the stresses and pressures that walk hand-in-hand with triumph, although he’s markedly confident that the north-Londoners can excel in their fundamental ambitions.
Pinpointing Arsenal’s projected objectives to Goal, Cech openly revealed: “Our priority is to get into the top four [so we can] be in the Champions League and then you want to progress and evolve as a club, as a team.
“We have a new manager and obviously we set our targets so if we can win a trophy together in the first season it would be a good achievement.
“You play every game to win and this time we were in the FA Cup, we have the tradition as a club to do well and if we can win it, we’d like to do so.
“It is the same with the Europa League – we started really well and are in the last 32.
“These are two targets but the Premier League remains a big objective, to get into the top four.”
Emery has favoured summer signing Bernd Leno to safeguard the target in recent weeks in the Premier League, however Cech returned to first-team action on Saturday against Blackpool in the FA Cup.
The Gunners dominated proceedings at Bloomfield Road and claimed a 3-0 victory. Registering an assured clean sheet, Cech reaffirmed his regard as a starting stopper and ensured that his team march on to the 4th round of the world’s most renowned club competition.
