Arsenal are reportedly one of a multitude of European heavyweights that are hunting the flourishing services of SL Benfica’s Luka Jovic, who is currently on loan at Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 21-year-old striker has been in inspired form during the 2018-19 campaign for his temporary employers, a deadly prowess that has enabled him to register 21 goals in 32 competitive appearances on all platforms.
Evidently one of the modern game’s brightest prospects, Spanish publication Marca believes that Jovic is subsequently on the Gunners’ radar, although the north-Londoners are not alone in their alleged pursuit.
Manchester City, Chelsea, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are also thought to be tailing his sought-after signature, so if Arsenal are to pip their rivals to the Serbia international, they’ll have to table a particularly substantial offer to surpass their adversaries.
Incidentally, Frankfurt could snag Jovic from Benfica on a permanent basis themselves if they opt to initiate the option to buy clause, which is said to be an inclusion within the aspiring hitman’s standing loan deal at the Commerzbank-Arena.
Jovic, who has only made 4 appearances for his parent club, represented his country at Russia’s 2018 World Cup and is rightfully regarded as a genuine asset to his national fold.
