‘He’s too good’, some Arsenal fans predict bright future for 18-year-old forward

A selection of Arsenal supporters have predicted a bright future ahead for Gabriel Martinelli following his impressive show of pace during the closing stages of the pre-season friendly against Fiorentina.

The 18-year-old has been the Gunners’ sole purchase of this summer’s transfer window and he has already made his presence felt in the club’s ongoing pre-season tour of the United States.

Martinelli scored a lovely chested goal in the 3-0 win over Colorado Rapids earlier this month and he continued the good impression with his cameo appearance against La Viola on Saturday.

In a short while, the teenager has already shown his exceptional pace and against La Viola, he was able to get the better of three opposition players in a direct run while just missing out with the finish.

The moment has certainly caught the eye of some fans and few of them believe the youngster can make a mark with the first-team. Here are the best reactions on Twitter….

Martinelli has looked lively during the pre-season tour with the team, but it remains to be seen whether the attacker would be handed with regular opportunities when the real season begins next month.

Matteo Guendouzi was a similar player with unknown quality before he joined the Gunners last summer and back then, Gunners boss Unai Emery did not hesitate in playing him in the starting XI from the off.
