The Spain international had nearly the perfect display from an advanced midfield role for the Gunners and he was dominant with every aspect of his game, as revealed through Squawka.

The 23-year-old came off the bench during the league opener at Newcastle United and he had a rather shaky performance where he was dispossessed on a few occasions.

Against Burnley, he was similarly guilty of losing possession of the ball at certain periods, but he more than made up for the same with multiple recoveries while aiming to push forward at every opportunity.

While, it is too early to judge how the Spaniard’s season could pave, there are no doubts regarding his workrate and determination to make the difference at the club irrespective of the nature of the contract agreement.
