‘Remember the name’, some Arsenal fans are ecstatic after attacker’s stunning display vs Eintracht Frankfurt

A selection of Arsenal fans have expressed their delight on social media following a sublime performance from youngster Bukayo Saka during his first appearance of the campaign.

The teenager was used sparingly during the course of the previous campaign but manager Unai Emery decided to offer him with a starting role on the left wing against Eintracht Frankfurt.

With every attacking opportunity, Saka impressed with his dribbling and direct running and he capped off a fine display with a couple of assists and his first professional goal for the club.

Saka’s first goalscoring contribution came through his impressive assist for Joe Willock, who opened his goal tally for the season by putting the Gunners ahead in the 38th minute.

In the second period, Saka had a couple of close chances to find the net which he could not capitalise but he made Frankfurt pay shortly after Dominik Kohr was sent off for a second yellow card offence.

Saka put the game to bed in the 85th minute with a sublime curling effort from outside the box which beat goalkeeper Kevin Trapp. Few moments later, the Gunners graduate became the creative head once more with a lovely subtle assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s strike.

Unai Emery’s side eventually sealed a comfortable 3-0 Europa League triumph against Frankfurt on the road and some of the fans have been left impressed with the performance of Saka.

Here are some of the Twitter reactions…

Arsenal return to Premier League action this weekend with a home game against Aston Villa and they will be hoping to end a run of three winless games in the division.

It will be interesting to see whether Saka is offered with his maiden start in the Premier League following his excellent exploits against Frankfurt at the Commerzbank-Arena.
