‘What a beautiful human being’, some Arsenal fans praise forward’s performance vs Aston Villa

A section of the Arsenal fans have expressed their delight after watching Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang score the winning goal in the 3-2 comeback win over Aston Villa in the Premier League.

The north London giants conceded the opening goal in the 20th minute of the game after they failed to track the run of John McGinn who scored with a deft finish.

Thereafter, things only became worse with Ainsley Maitland-Niles sent off prior to the break but the Gunners managed to end their winless league streak through an impressive second half showing.

Nicolas Pepe grabbed the equalising goal from the penalty spot before the hour mark but the happiness was shortlived after the Villains scored through Wesley Moraes just 90 seconds later.

Despite this, the Gunners kept on maintaining the pressure on the visitors and they eventually equalised for the second occasion after a wonderful finish from Calum Chambers in the 81st minute.

Shortly after, Aubameyang slotted home the winner with a terrific freekick just outside the box and this ensured that the club returned to the top four of the Premier League.

Following the game, a number of the Gunners faithful were pleased with Aubameyang’s match-winning impact while they also praised him for offering the second half penalty to Nicolas Pepe in order to enhance the Ivorian’s confidence.

Twitter Reactions:

The victory ended a run of three winless games in the Premier League. Arsenal are now scheduled to host Nottingham Forest in the third round of the League Cup on Tuesday night before facing Manchester United on the road on September 30.
