Ceballos and Pepe start, Predicted Arsenal lineup (4-2-3-1) to face Bournemouth

Arsenal are scheduled to entertain Bournemouth in Sunday’s Premier League meeting at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners secured a comfortable 4-0 triumph against Standard Liege in the midweek Europa League clash and that extended the club’s unbeaten streak to seven games across all competitions.

For the Cherries clash, the Gunners remain the favourites with a 100 record home record against them, but they need to be wary of the threat from Callum Wilson, who has been in sublime touch with five goals from the past four league appearances.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Lineup:

Bernd Leno should return in goal for the Cherries clash after witnessing Emiliano Martinez feature against Standard Liege. The German was in impressive form against United on Monday night, where he made a couple of crucial saves towards the end of the game.

In the defence, it should be more of the same from the Red Devils clash. Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Kieran Tierney impressed once more during the midweek Europa League clash but Emery is most likely to resist the prospect of starting them following their recent injury comebacks.

At the heart of the midfield, Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi seem automatic picks under Emery and the manager recently expressed his support for the former. Ahead of the duo, Dani Ceballos could make a return to the starting XI in the number 10 role following an impressive showing in midweek, where he bagged his maiden goal for the club.

Elsewhere, Bukayo Saka and Nicolas Pepe should be expected to feature on the left and right side of the attack respectively with the club’s top-scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leading the line. Saka was completely rested for the midweek game and that should strongly hint towards his involvement from the off.

Both Gabriel Martinelli and Reiss Nelson impressed on Thursday night but they may have to settle for minutes off the bench, considering Emery is bound to stick with Pepe despite the Ivorian’s average run of form since his club-record switch to the club.
