A selection of Arsenal supporters are delighted with the progress made by Eddie Nketiah with club and country since the beginning of the ongoing campaign.

The youngster was one of the standout performers during the pre-season tour of the United States where he contributed three goals and he was fancied to compete for a third-striker role behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

However, that was not meant to be with Nketiah taking the option to join Leeds United to gain first-team experience and he has since impressed with four goals across all competitions for the Peacocks.

Elsewhere, Nketiah has also excelled with the England Under 21s with five goals from three competitive appearances this season and that includes a hat-trick in the recent 5-1 drubbing of Austria.

Shortly after that game, a number of Gunners fans have expressed their delight over the 20-year-old’s form and believe the academy graduate will make a huge mark for the club in the future.

Nketiah’s seven appearances in the Championship have come off the bench and that has certainly been a surprise with Patrick Bamford struggling to find the net for Marcelo Bielsa’s side of late.

After his stunning hat-trick against Austria, Nketiah will no doubt have caught the eye of Bielsa and it remains to be seen whether he is handed with a starting spot following the international break.

Prior to the beginning of the season, there were concerns regarding the third striker with Nketiah being loaned out, but Gabriel Martinelli has shed those worries with a superb start to his Gunners career.

The Gunners’ summer signing has bagged four goals from as many appearances this term and he should get more opportunities to impress over the course of the campaign.
