A section of the Arsenal supporters have predicted a bright future ahead for Gabriel Martinelli after scoring yet another brace during the League Cup fourth round tie against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Brazilian joined the Gunners as a relatively unknown during the summer but he has quickly become a fan favourite with his performances in the Cup competitions.
Martinelli has started the past four games for the Gunners outside of the Premier League and during that period, he has bagged seven goals and could have easily reached double figures with better concentration.
As a result, he is currently the top-scoring teenager across Europe’s top-five leagues and the club’s faithful are undoubtedly pleased with the progress of the former Ituano youngster.
Here are some of the tweets….
Despite the positives, Martinelli has yet to make a similar impression at the Premier League level but he should get more opportunities off the bench hereafter to make an impression.
The teenager has particularly impressed with his positioning, aerial ability and strong shooting skills and it remains to be seen whether he can earn himself a starting role in the top-flight as the season progresses.
Arsenal are scheduled to entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers in the At the Emirates Stadium this weekend and the game presents the chance to end a two-match winless league streak.
Wolves have proved a tricky opposition whenever they have come against the elite sides and the Gunners needs to come up with an improved display from recent games to register three points on the day.
