‘Give him what he wants’, some Arsenal fans react to club’s social media update
|A selection of Arsenal supporters have reacted positively to the club’s social media update in the aftermath of the 2-2 Premier League draw against Norwich City on the road.
The Gunners went to Carrow Road under the guidance of interim boss Freddie Ljungberg after manager Unai Emery was sacked following a seventh successive winless game for the club.
However, there was no improvement in terms of the recent fortunes with the club continuing with their winless streak but the game was memorable for Aubameyang, who came up with a goal in either half.
Aubameyang bagged his first league goal in three matches from the penalty spot but he needed some luck as the initial spotkick, which he had missed, was retaken after an encroachment was spotted.
His second goal, however, was quite straightforward as he produced a delightful finish after being assisted by Shkodran Mustafi from a Mesut Ozil corner.
The Gunners did require a string of impressive saves from goalkeeper Bernd Leno to secure a draw but some fans were clearly impressed with the performance of Aubameyang, who was likewise key to the result.
Earlier today, the Gunners released a video clip of Aubameyang bagging his 10th goal of the Premier League campaign and this has produced a generally positive fan reaction on Twitter.

Aubameyang’s current contract is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2021 and so far, there has not been much progress in terms of extending his deal beyond that period.
At 30, the Gabon international surely has at least four to five years left at the highest level and it remains to be seen whether the club can find the breakthrough for the renewal in the near future.
