A particular section of Arsenal fans have hailed the performance of Bukayo Saka during the closing stages of the 2-2 Europa League draw at Standard Liege on Thursday night.

As such, it appeared that the club could register yet another disappointing defeat on the road but Saka managed to change the outcome with a splendid performance in the final 15 minutes.

The club graduate provided a sublime accurate for Alexandre Lacazette to find the net in the 78th minute and few moments later, he managed to score a goal of his own with his weaker right foot after some quick link-up play with Gabriel Martinelli, who came off the bench.

The Gunners could not quite complete the comeback with the victory but some of the fans were left delighted with the game-changing display from the 18-year-old, who started at left wing-back and later on, moved into the left-back position.

Saka started the season brightly with a couple of top-notch performances in the Europa League and that earned him a regular starting role in the Premier League between September and October, where he managed the solitary assist at Old Trafford.

The youngster has been out of contention for a starting spot in the league over the past six weeks and that may not change in the near future with Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe grabbing their chances of late.

Still, the youngster will have renewed his lost confidence after his goal and assist at Liege and he will be eager to make the most of the gametime in the league in the coming weeks.
