‘He did everything’, some Arsenal fans praise one player after Chelsea defeat
|Some Arsenal supporters have appreciated the performance of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the club’s 2-1 Premier League defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.
The Gabon international found the net early for the Gunners in the 13th minute of the derby but that was not sufficient to hand the victory as the Blues sealed a comeback win with two late goals after the 83rd minute.
Still, a section of the Gunners fans have heaped praise on Aubameyang, who not only bagged the goal but also helped out Bukayo Saka on the left side of the defence.
As per whoscored, the forward was rated as the best performer for the Gunners and he impressed with the defensive aspect of his game with three tackles, two interceptions and two clearances.
Such commitment has undoubtedly pleased many of the club’s faithful and some of them have taken to Twitter to appreciate the performance of the 30-year-old, who has now netted 15 goals in all competitions this term.
Twitter Reactions:
Aubameyang has netted in back-to-back games under the guidance of new boss Mikel Arteta and overall, he has managed 13 goals in the Premier League for the north London club.
While that remains a positive statistic for the striker, Arteta could be slightly concerned by the fact that the club are overly dependent on the 30-year-old to find the net.
Aubameyang has contributed exactly 50 percent of the club’s goal tally in the Premier League. His future with the club continues to hang in the balance with his existing deal due to expire in the summer of 2021.
