‘He was incredible’, some Arsenal fans praise emerging star after win vs Newcastle United
|A selection of Arsenal fans have heaped praise on Bukayo Saka following his impressive display in the 4-0 Premier League win over Newcastle United on Sunday evening.
The 18-year-old has played as the makeshift left-back at different stages of the current campaign and he managed to keep his position against the Magpies despite the fact that Sead Kolasinac was available for selection.
Over the 90 minutes, Saka impressed on an attacking point of view in particular and a sublime piece of skill contributed to him providing the assist for Nicolas Pepe’s goal which made it 2-0 for the Gunners.
Apart from this, he managed an impressive six take-ons which was thrice more than any other Arsenal player and was able to find his teammates with 91 percent of his passes (as per whoscored).
Saka has been one of the shining young stars for the Gunners alongside Gabriel Martinelli this term and a few of the club’s fans have appreciated his performance against the Magpies.
Twitter Reactions:
The victory over the Magpies ended a four-match run of draws in the Premier League and the club are now six points off the fifth spot which would guarantee Champions League football at present.
Still, the gap remains significant with the inconsistent performances from the players this season but Arteta’s side have the chance of gaining momentum with winnable home games against Everton and West Ham United to follow.
Prior to the Toffees clash, Arsenal have a crucial Europa League tie against Olympiacos. The Gunners will face the Greek outfit on the road during the first leg of the round of 32 clash.
Arsenal have a mixed history against Olympiacos and over the past decade, they have managed only a 50 percent win rate against them. Olympiacos have won two of their previous three home meetings against the Gunners.
