A selection of Arsenal fans have praised the performance of young graduate Bukayo Saka during the club’s 1-0 win over Olympiacos in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Gunners had a testing challenge in the first leg of the round of 32 clash and they managed just three attempts on targets over the course of the 90 minutes in Piraeus.
Alexandre Lacazette was guilty of squandering a couple of genuine chances to find the net in the opening half but he managed to make amends by bagging the only goal of the game in the 81st minute.
Saka, who has been in fine touch from the left-back role, came up with the assist as he produced a delightful low cross for Lacazette to tap home from close range.
With that, the 18-year-old bagged his ninth assist of the campaign in addition to his three goals for the season and his key impact against Olympiacos has pleased several Gunners fans on Twitter.
Saka has developed impressively from the makeshift left-back role and he has managed to keep his position despite Sead Kolasinac making his comeback from a thigh injury.
No Arsenal player has managed more assists than Saka during the current campaign. Gunners’ record signing Nicolas Pepe has managed seven assists this season while Gabriel Martinelli and Calum Chambers are behind him with four apiece.
