‘Baller’,’Good price’, some Arsenal fans believe 23-year-old star should be signed permanently

A selection of Arsenal fans believe the club should look to secure the permanent signing of Daniel Ceballos from Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.

The Spaniard joined the Gunners on a season-long loan from Los Blancos in July last year and he made an impressive beginning to his career with two assists in a man-of-the-match display against Burnley.

Ceballos thereafter struggled for consistency under ex-boss Unai Emery and picked up an unfortunate hamstring injury prior to the festive round of fixtures.

With Mikel Arteta’s appointment, Ceballos’ future seemed in doubt as he was unable to earn any playing time, but he managed to turn things around after impressing the manager during the winter break training camp.

Arteta has insisted that the Gunners are not in negotiations with Real Madrid over a permanent move for Ceballos but The Mirror suggests that the club can purchase the midfielder, if they can pay £36m this summer.

The north London giants are unlikely to make the decision anytime soon with the health concerns due to the coronavirus pandemic but some fans believe the club should sign the 23-year-old on a long-term deal, given he has plenty of room for improvement at his current age.

Twitter Reactions:

Ceballos has started the last three Premier League games for the Gunners. He recently starred in the 1-0 win over West Ham United where he made five tackles and six interceptions, as per whoscored.
