‘I’d take him’, ‘Please’, some Arsenal fans want £36m star signed

A selection of Arsenal fans believe the club should make the move to sign Nabil Fekir from Real Betis during the next transfer window.

The 26-year-old has been regularly linked with the Gunners in the past and a recent report from The Mirror has claimed that the club declined to recruit him from Lyon last summer.

As a result, Fekir made the switch from Les Gones to Real Betis in Spain and he has proved a quality signing for them with seven goals and six assists from 22 league appearances.

As per The Mirror, the Gunners are likely to renew their interest in the £36m-rated attacker when the season concludes and he has been earmarked as a possible replacement for Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos.

Fekir and Ceballos are obviously different profile of midfielders and the former generally operates in an attacking midfield position or on the right wing.

In comparison, Ceballos is more adept to playing in a central role and a deal for Fekir may not necessarily strengthen the club’s options at the heart of the midfield.

Still, the Frenchman can be regarded as a suitable replacement for Mesut Ozil in the number 10 role and the club could benefit from his good understanding with Alexandre Lacazette at former club Lyon.
