Arsenal right-back attracting interest from Serie A giants: report

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin could reportedly be the subject of interest from Inter Milan when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.

The Spain international has been hampered with injuries over the past 18 months and in the current campaign, he has been restricted to only 14 appearances across all competitions.

Bellerin still has more than three years remaining on his contract with the club but FC Inter News claims that the Nerazzurri will seek to prise him away from the Emirates during the summer.

The same outlet claims that manager Antonio Conte is unsure over a permanent deal for loanee Victor Moses and he wants Bellerin as a replacement for Antonio Candreva in the right wing-back position.

Bellerin has spent almost a decade with the Gunners since joining the academy from La Masia in 2011. Over the past few years, he has turned into a fan favourite but has not quite performed on the playing field due to disruptions due to injuries.

Still, it would come as a surprise, if he heads through the exit door ahead of next season, considering the club are currently short of specialist options on the right side of the defence.

Sokratis, Calum Chambers and Ainsley Maitland-Niles have all played in the position in Bellerin’s absence but none of them have particularly impressed in an attacking point of view from the makeshift role.

Maitland-Niles appears to have fallen out-of-favour under Arteta. Both him and Sokratis could possibly part ways with the club ahead of Bellerin due to their reduced playing time this year.

Cedric Soares, who made the short-term loan move from Southampton in January, remains the only other specialist right-back in the squad. It is unclear whether the Gunners will look to sign him permanently when his Saints contract expires during the summer.

Somehow I cant see Bellerin and Inter being a successful Marriage. They have always been a stonewall defence team which played efficient but boring football.Mourinho suited them down to the ground. I dont see them changing Bellerins cavalier attitude in his position of RB so why would he be interested in going to a club which is the complete opposite to him.
